size 8 uk in US?

hi my sister is buying me some boots in new york, i'm an 8 here but 4 websites have given me us sizes from 9.5 up to 10.5 has any size 8ers bought from US and if so what size?

I'm a UK size 7 and I have bought size 9 from US so I always assumed it was 2 sizes difference, although that doesnt really help you too much sorry

i thought a uk 8 equalled a us 4

idiot, should have read 'boots'. i'm a uk 6 and have bought 7.5 in the us and they've fitted.

well i used to be a 7 but birth not only made me not fit into my clothes anymore but also my shoes.
