He's young (24) and has really thick black hair. He used to have it quite lengthy (think vernon kay a couple of years ago) but now has a job where it needs to be short. He has had it cut short, but not really in a style and as it is so thick it kind of sticks up, so needs geling down.
He wants something nice but neither of us have a clue what would work on his hair and the hairdressers don't seem to have a clue either.

Something along these lines?

yum

Sounds like, if it's thick, he needs to keep a bit of length and just whack a load of "man" type hair product in it, like putty or wax.

Needs to be shorter.
It has to go under a helmet, with not too much product.

My DH also has hair like that, I call it Clark Kent hair as it's so flippin indestructible. I am still trying to persuade him to fulfil my Regency romance fantasy with James Purefoy's haircut (and sideburns) in Vanity Fair. Would be great under a helmet too I have to say .
