The first ones are immeasurably better

anyfucker · 05/10/2008 22:35

sorry faq, they are both 'orrid

FAQ · 05/10/2008 22:37

anyfucker - fair enough can you find me a nice pair of boots with that type of heel (must be that type of heel as I need to be able to play the organ in them) and not knee length ones (as I'm a short arse and look crap in them) then please

moondog · 05/10/2008 22:48

I think the first are great. Well funky.
The second are awful. The kind of thing that women in fleeces and bad jeans wear whilst buying custard tarts in M & S.

FAQ · 05/10/2008 22:51

pmsl @ moondogs (rather honest) opinion of the 2nd pair

fly london are fab

can be tried on in office and then bought cheaper online

do you like wedges or need an actual heel?

Cadelaide · 05/10/2008 22:52

moondog has it!

moondog · 05/10/2008 22:53

pmsl at the way you can address 'anyfucker' with a straight face

FAQ · 05/10/2008 22:54

I'm not sure I could play the organ in wedges - and I think the heels on those ones would be too thin - need something a bit chunkier (yes I know I'm an awkward so and so lol)

anyfucker · 05/10/2008 22:56

moondog, I am completely serious

faq, you don't ask for much eh?

FAQ · 05/10/2008 22:56

FAQ · 05/10/2008 22:59

no I'm very easy to please anyfucker - I already have dressy shoes, and boots with nice heels for going out in - but I need my "everyday, organ playing possible" ones replacing (as they have holes in the bottom of the heels and have worn down so much that they're not actually flat anymore - which is proving a health hazard now it's getting wet)

YThe pilgrim look may go down a storm in churcxh. Consider accessorising with a stiff linen peaked cap.

FAQ · 05/10/2008 23:08

oh god I hate that hymn - we had to sing it EVERY week at school as our school was linked to Elstow Abbey where John Bunyan preached blah blah blah

They are nice - but I think the heel will be too narrow

OP posts:
FAQ · 05/10/2008 23:13

thanks for the other links - think I'm going to order the 1st pair (pilgrim boots ) - I need them ASAP (nearly twisted my bloody ankle the other day when I slipped in these ones) and if I order from anywhere but littlewoods I'll have to wait until the end of the month - whereas with littlewoods I can pay at the end of the month and get them soon........
