Outfit for a friend with v low self image issues

I have a friend who is going to a wedding in a weeks time. She is completely depressed about it as she feels fat and ugly and says she doesn't want to bother, she'll only feel old and frumpy. She's 35, size 14/16 (big tummy issues) has a boyfriend who doesn't appreciate her and needs an outfit to make her feel fab!

She likes this. I'm not so sure....
I do not live locally to her and am struggling to come up with ideas.

why not something more prom styley, more flattering on curves and forgiving on tum surely?

no to that dress - she'll just feel fat and uncomfy in that.

how tall is she and whats her budget?

if i was her i'd get hair done and a spray tan as these will make her feel a lot better.

If budget a little bigger I think Monsoon does good dresses for weddings/occasions.

it's crushed silk, and had a long bow detail at the back, and only £45 in the sale, i've checked, size is avaible in this style, there is near identical one in nrmal sil which doesnt have sizes left. The pattern would draw attention away from tummy area, can be worn with a shawl, jacket or cover up, facinator in hair and nice shoes.
