I need the snuggliest (oh yes, I just said snuggliest) cosy, warm, giant cardigan that I can wrap round me in these chilly evenings...

stylish is entirely optional, I just want to be warm. Knee/mid thigh length possible. Has anyone bought such a thing recently...

Not a hoody after all.

It's this.

Would ivory be a bad colour though?

Bridie3 · 03/10/2008 18:46

Now I'm really dreaming. Not a hope.

Have a look at hush, they have some lovely stuff.

makes you feel all snuggily just looking at it.

here

and here

I love this myself

macherie · 03/10/2008 20:04

ooo, thanks for introducing me to hush, szyslak, I'm picturing myself in a cardigown right now

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 03/10/2008 20:40

OMG the hush stuff looks fantastic (tries not to recall budget....)

I would look like a mad old bat in that hush stuff

I would be there on the school run looking like I had put a hat on with my pyjamas

Szyslak · 03/10/2008 21:04

I think it's more for wearing at home, in front of your open log fire whilst drinking red wine Cappuccino, than for the school run.

MadamAnt · 03/10/2008 21:09

Oooh I love that cardigown, esp with the sort of fingerless mittens she has in one pic.

Actally H&M might be worth a look for el cheapo options. Am currently snuggling in a cosy grey h&m number.

eleanorsmum · 03/10/2008 21:11

ooooh ooooh look its this one must admit looks better on her than me but i did buy a size 20 am in it now and very cosy. it has 30 % wool i think. go shopping at a big sainsbury and they should have it!

MadamAnt · 03/10/2008 21:11

That model is ver pretty.

Cappuccino · 03/10/2008 21:11

you're meant to wear a hat in front of your log fire?

do you live in a cabin in the woods?

Szyslak · 03/10/2008 21:15

Yes of course I live in a cabin in the woods, and the hat is for when you go outside in the snow to get more logs.

Buy into the lifestyle capp, stop resisting

SlartyBartFast · 03/10/2008 21:16

or ask sarah kennedy/littlelapin?

MascaraOHara · 03/10/2008 21:23

lol @ birdie's link

do peeople actually hang washing out in cardigans that cost early 300 quid LOL

Cappuccino · 03/10/2008 22:05

I should think it is fecking handknitted for that price

and they should send the handknitting granny round to babysit for a couple nights too

Bridie3 · 03/10/2008 22:05

If I had that cardi I'd be wearing it night and day to try and, erm, 'justify' the cost. ;)

Cappuccino · 03/10/2008 22:07

I could not spend £300 on a hoodie

even if I had an extra £300 hanging around

MrsBadger · 03/10/2008 22:36

I saw one in the Joe Browns catalogue this pm
