What shoes with red evening dress?

I have some black strappies but they look odd.

Not sure if it is cause they are black or cause they have an ankle strap or not.

I wore black with red dress. It had a teeny little black belt around waist,so I thought I looked nice.

I think if you accessorise with black, maybe little necklace, bag or something... black looks good?

My red shoes looked BAD with red dress. not sure why...just too much red.
