I need something to wear to stand on football touchlines in the bleak midwinter and something smart for work.

Everything I try on makes me look wider than the Mersey tunnel.

go to tk maxx: they have racks & racks of every type of coat you can imagine. loads of wool/cashmere ones which will keep you warm & be smart enough for work. i got a fabulous purple one from there a couple of years ago which is still going strong, & there were loads there last week. not as much choice in bigger sizes, but still enough to trawl through (i'm a 16 too).
