Wore with boots and a slightly sloppy sweater belonging to dh, just so I wouldn't look like I was trying too hard.

so now that I've broken the seal, so to speak, might give it another go with a smarter top.

I want to do this but... what type/colour etc shorts do you wear and with what tights? While were at it, what kind of boots too?

I have numerous pairs of short city shorts and a few pair of longer (just above the knee) tailored pairs.

um, they were kind of brown tweed/ herringbone, that kind of thing

with black opaque tights, poss a wool mix?

and brown boots, kind of low heel, buckles up the sides - were from KG a few seasons ago. Come to just below the knee.
