get yourself down to your nearest very expensive (i know, stay with me) childrens shoe shop and have a look at their girls' boots

i was buying ds2's shoes today (his very first - so sweet) and a lady came in to try on some gorgeous tan italian leather boots

i assumed she must have the world's tiniest feet but the owner said they stock up to a size 7 in some styles

the tan ones were £69!!!

for similar in adult shops you'd be looking at 2 or 3 times the price

i am going to bind my calves and go back in very soon...

A friend of dd's mother always buys shoes from our local independent childrens shop for herself. She has picked up some bargains too.

Another skinny friend of mine always manages to fit into girls trousers in Gapkids

When I was buying DD's shoes recently the shop assistant mentioned that they went up to a size 40, in case I was interested.

But there is VAT on children's shoes in France, so not quite as good value as in the UK.
