What are tescos clothes like?

On a really strict budget but need some post-baby clothes. Don't want anything expensive either as still have some baby weight to lose.

Does anyone know what Tescos clothes are like? We have a big one near here, also a big Asda. Have never bought supermarket clothes before so no idea of quality/style.

Good.

Cheap, up to date, not great quality ,but OK for the price. I buy quite a lot there.

I think it's a good place to start to upate your wardrobe, they have basics, tshirts etc and more 'on trend' (I know I know) 'pieces'.

suwoo · 30/09/2008 11:15

Asda ones are more 'trendy' and cheaper IMO.

MrsBadger · 30/09/2008 11:16

cheap but perfectly adequate for every day
Avoid the synthetic 'workwear' blouses and trous though - stick to cotton tops and casual trousers.

peasholme · 30/09/2008 11:17

Cheap.
Probably made in sweatshops.

MrsBadger · 30/09/2008 11:17

Gap clothes are made in sweatshops

price no indicator of working conditions

peasholme · 30/09/2008 11:20

Agreed...I didn't say go to Gap!

I like them, I IME they are a bit better quality than Asda.

ninedragons · 30/09/2008 11:32

The occasional gem. I don't go back to the UK that frequently so can date my purchases pretty accurately. One of my favourite plain t-shirts was bought in a Tesco six years ago. Looks brand new, great cut, washes perfectly, hasn't faded or unravelled at the seams.

Don't know if this particular item was a fluke, though.

Szyslak · 30/09/2008 11:44

I can't wear adsa clothes, they are a weird shape.

Or, I'm a weird shape.

Chequers · 30/09/2008 11:51

Thnks, think I will drive up and have a look this avo. Will give asda a swerve I think.

suwoo · 30/09/2008 12:27

Don't give Asda a swerve, I likey much better than tesco..........hmm maybe I'm a weird shape

Szyslak · 30/09/2008 12:34

Do you have thin arms but a large bottm suwoo?

I have fat arms and not much of a bum.

I find Asda tight on the arms and big in the hips and thighs.

Don't know which is weirder.
