Oh FGS, have just noticed my favourite cashmere jumper has been attacked and has two holes in! Can it be mended?

If so, how?

are you in a city? a specialist tailor or dry cleaners might be able to help.

NappiesGalore · 29/09/2008 16:54

im not an authority... but i have lost cashmere to this fate before... do the holes look small and inconspicuous and are they placed somewhere discreet? coz if so then maybe...

castille · 29/09/2008 16:58

Yes not far from city, I was thinking a pro might be necessary

Holes are small but on the front to one side, so pretty obvious

Could you cover them up with a brooch or something - pretend you are making a style statement?

castille · 29/09/2008 17:13

They are too low down - near waist, sadly

took mine here cost a fortune but came back like new

At the V&A they sell beautiful little silk patches to sew over moth holes - they are in the shape of little moths!! Cuter than they sound.

Cor, a cashmere clinic! I don't live near London, but if I did I'd be there like a shot. I love this jumper

Patches sound sweet but would look odd given the position of the holes. Damn mothy things.
