yes - v beautiful models help. I suspect if I saw that hanging on the rails at Monsoon it would look quite bleurgh.

Exhibit B, M'Lud

It doesn't look bad on the page, and the model looks very happy with it, but I've seen these in the flesh and the ruffle looks like a strange adult bib.

Sorry but I went to the Boden shop last weekend. And almost everything in the women's range is farking hideous in the flesh. It looks so gorgeous in the catalogues and then in the shop you see that the fabric is thin (jersey dresses), the mac is obviously not going to be waterproof, the lovely new knee-high boots a silly design so really hard to get on and off, the flat slip-ons have really insubstantial soles, the lovely handbag has no zip so no good for public transport etc. The silk ruffly thing looks weird too as The UniTUBER points out, the ruffle is just the wrong proportion or something. I tried it on and it made me look a bit odd. And this cardy, just vile, a massive amount of wool hanging off you. It didn't help that in the shop they display this cardy on a too short rail so it's dangling on the floor and covered in dust. And the shop assistants were standing around bitching about how their Boden T-shirts had shrunk in the wash.

Never again, it is just a big con. I always order with great hopes and am always disappointed.

I did buy DD a bear costume though.

www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?styid=71035&segname=Baby&segid=2&gpname=Tops+%26+T%2Dshirts&desname=Teddy+Bu tton+Through&gpid=44&gen=3&col=CAM

It looks cute but the sizing is pretty small so she hates being forced into it. Poor sod.
