Help me decide wether to have a fringe or not please

Have been debating having a fringe for a while now, but still unsure.

It would have to be a fairly thick fringe, as I have a natural side parting which flicks over with a light fringe.

I want something like this but not sure it will suit me.

There are pics of me on my profile i think.

Tha pic on the link is mainly how i'd like the fringe. Not overly keen on the rest of the hairstyle. I'd probably have the rest pretty much the same length as it is now with a few layes in.

no help i know but i dont know im currently growing mine out after thinking for some insane reason that i would look like cheryl cole if i had one! i blame the pregnancy hormones of the time because being almost 5 stone heavier than her made it possible, really!

I had a fringe cut in earlier this year

I love it, it suits me far better than my previous slap head hairstyle.

My advice would be to go for a fairly soft, longish one to start with so that if you hate it you can grow it out. I had a fairly severe one cut in and I am now growing some of it out as it was a bit too much.

Fringes are perfect for those pre-period spotty forehead days imo

Hard to tell from profile pictures as they are small. You look as if you could carry of a fringe though and they do give you hair an instant style.

I think it would suit you.

You have a nice shaped face, mine is like a football and I loved my fringe...until I saw a picture and realised I looked like Anne Widdecombe.

Your Dc are gorgeous btw, where were you on hols? It looks lovely

I went for a soft fringe and then gradually sharpened it, although now my hair is hopelessly grown out.

Thats the problem though tigerfeet, I can't have a soft oen first to see if I like it, because a soft fringe won't sit right on me.

I have had fringes before and grown them out, but that was years ago tbh, and I cut them myself lol.

to second tigerfeet the hairdresser cut a lovely soft fringe in that did look nice but i was too embarassed to say "no, i want to be cheryl cole, make it thick and blunt" and despite paying a large sum of money proceded to go home and do it myself the utter shame, again... the hormones made me mental

I would just go for it tbh if it is a disaster they grow out quiye quick.

lol ringting it took me a good few trips to the hairdresser to demand a blunt fringe forthe same reason.

Yeah you are right, I can always grow it out I suppose.

I will have to a pic of how I want it though, as I can't go without a pic, as I find it really hard to explain what i'd like.

twinset lol its a bit sad but all the girls (and they are girls) terrify me in my hairdressers! theyre all young and trendy and gorgeous, i go in a sink into my chair and think hurry the hell up so i can get out and not look in the mirror its pathetic! i scuttle pass hoping theyve not noticed that ive gone and redone their haircut!

The fringe is quite long so if you hate it you could always clip it back or wear an alice band until it grows out a bit

not so low as to cover your eyebrows ib, but otherwise yes immediately get fringe cut.

you have nice cheekbones and jaw, will look great.

I had the same dilemma a few weeks ago about whether I should go for the kate moss fringe. Anyway, the consensus was yes, so I had it done and love it - really updates my style and showcases eyes. Mine is like the length that is nearly in eyes and is heavy, but because it is so heavy, I can sweep the sections of fringe that are further back on my head to the sides of my head [if you know what I mean] so can have a lighter fringe too. And it is long enough for me to sweep to the side for side-frnge look too.

I would say go for it, after all, fringes grow out so quick if you hate it, within a few weeks you can start sweeping it to side.

Make sure you take notice of how your stylist dries it though and ensure you have correct brush etc and take time to dry it properly.

can ypu carry off a fringe with a fatround face?

I've never had one. I was experiemting with the look the other day and my mum said I looked like someone called Muriel. I don't think it was a copliment.

So is it a definite no, with a chubster face? (rest of my slim just chubby stle face)

i have fringe.was shock whn finally did it as so different but i like it.i just have bob with fringe that comes down to about my eyebrow.think i have pic on my profile (so you can all say actually you look a twat with a fringe)

I recently got a fringe and it helps cover my frown lines, I am getting old so necessary.
