Oh. Thanks.

I really thought thatthis cardigan would be about £5 in the sale but they have sold out!!!!

Beetroot · 19/09/2008 15:19

£29!

kt14 · 19/09/2008 16:07

In previous years I would have agreed with all of the above, vile prints, nasty box pleated skirts, cringey applique cardigans. I laughed mercilessly at a friend who worshipped at the altar of johnnie boden.

But - (whispers) I really like this autumn's stuff. Seriously. The zip through top

is lovely, as is the parisienne tee.

And there's loads of very wearable cashmere jumpers I'd have in almost every colour if I weren't skint due to a rash ugg boot purchase earlier in the week.

Plus - gasp - I even own one of those £29 scarves too. And it's lovely. But I did get it with £10 off on a Johnnie discount special though..

Thank you, Peasholme. 1980s supermarket uniform is not a look I particularly want to recreate!

Szyslak · 19/09/2008 16:32

I had a big Boden delivery this week.

My first and really liked some of the stuff.

The long knitted tunic with skinny jeans is really good,as si the long henly style jumper. Impressed with the quality as well.

Also got the red check tweedy skirt which I like, also good quality.(can't do links).

I'm sending back the tank tops though. Too big (Boden make everything SO big!!!) and definitely too obviously Boden, don't know what I was thinking

Who is buying the dog cardigans?? I've not seen anyone in one. Am I moving in the wrong right circles?

BodenGroupie · 23/09/2008 21:57

Kt14- I've got both and they're lovely! Waiting for a second Parisienne tee to arrive, for once I thought something was reasonably priced (not that it usually stops me - I'm happy to look like a mad granny)

OllieWollieWoo · 24/09/2008 09:17

I asked a Mum at school if her lovely stripey green jumper was Boden - and she whispered it was a fiver from Primark!!! Looked great!

ShoppingGirl · 24/09/2008 12:28

Don't know if you noticed that last year there were big waitlists for the moss-stitch style woollen berets and scarves, well John Lewis now has these in Bodenesque colours. Didn't look at the price but assume affordable.

Loads of shops have picked up on Boden style and are doing it at more affordable prices. Me, I always wait for a 20% discount offer. If you wait long enough they cave in and send you one. My other half loves the 'pull ons' ie pyjama bottoms so that's one xmas pressie ticked off.

I'm loving the vintage denim just above the knee skirt, but always have to remind myself that the models in the catalogue will be about 5 foot 9 or 10, whereas I am merely shortarse and will not look anything like that!!!

Also take grave issue with their increasingly cringey spiel and photos.

KatieDD · 24/09/2008 12:36

John Lewis are also doing the long sleeved T Shirt dresses, in fact quite a lot of the kids stuff is Boden ish but here's £15 off £75 ln4f

SexyMilf · 24/09/2008 13:40

Boden have a new offer buy 4 items and you get the cheapest one for £1 valid for next couple of weeks, no code needed it should come off automtically at the till, doesn't apply to sale items though..

cheesesarnie · 24/09/2008 13:42

i only buy boden second hand

ShoppingGirl · 24/09/2008 16:17

Checked the prices and the hat is £15 and the scarf is £30 in J Lewis so not exactly cheap, though does contain 5% cashmere.
