Do you reckon I can get away with this for an October wedding or is it too casual?

I can't believe i'm asking wedding clothes advice again but this wedding has been somewhat sprung up on us. Bil has decided after going out with a girl since May that they are getting married in October!

It's all a bit weird he had a long term partner (13 years) whom he had split up with a few months back and two children to her (aged 8 and 6). I am close to her and it's all come as a bit of a shock , his children won't coming to the wedding. We've all met the woman he's marrying once. I don't suppose this is relevant but thought I might give you a bit of background lol.

Anyway the wedding is in a registry office in Glasgow then at a restaurant for a meal afterwards. I am now stuck for what to wear. We are going to be losing out on two days of dp's pay as he has had to take unpaid leave to go to the wedding as he has used all his holidays this year and also have to fork out for accomodation so money is tight. I have this dress I know it's not particulary dressy but do you reckon it will do? I plan to wear it with black tights and high peep toe shoes.

Love the dress. Is it in the pink or black? I would get something fluffy for your hair maybe.
It is in registry office so no need to be to formal anyway is there!
Also could you borrow a sparkly handbag? It will dress it up and make it a bit different.
HTH.
Im not really very good at this sort of thing

Red much better than pink in my humble opinion
Always a good wedding colour.

The do isnt a dress up event, where you have to be colour coordinated so i would go for it and have a great time.

I like the dress too. Howabout some killer nail polish and 'statement' earrings to go with it?

Ledodgy · 17/09/2008 18:28

OOh good idea seasider thank you.
