What style shoes would go with this dress

Have bought this dress but in a different colour (black,blue,green).

Will be wearing it for a graduation ball. Do I need open toe shoe/sandals with it or would closed toe shoes look OK/

Mmm I think mary janes would look ok. But, not very glamerous. Personally, I would go for something black and strappy.

I would still say the "colour" in the dress..so the aqua (or whatever colour your is..?)

Black probably is too heavy - maybe silver or a subtle pewter?

They've arrived and look really nice and have the added bonus of being comfy! They're not quite as deep a blue as I thought they were going to be and don't quite go with the dress, but they'll be close enough.
