What to wear to an audition to be a singer in a covers band?

Any advice appreciated - band isn't young and hip just popular covers played by middle aged men They are looking for a female singer and I have an audition on Sunday. I am 29 and fat. Dont want to look like I am trying too hard but want to make some effort iykwim? What to wear?

Something you feel comfy in - they will want to know you can sing first and foremost!

jeans, heels and v-neck top to show off my best assets? Would feel fairly comfortable in that I think.

Well if you feel comfy but also a bit sassy then the singing should be easier.

yes jazzi - want to feel good about myself because if I appear confident then maybe I will be confident rather than actually peeing my pants!

Those were on the list of songs they gave me to choose from.

Well you just have to go for it then. I would wear something I was not conscious of but still made me feel good. Image is important - but most important is the singing! Good luck!

I would have suggested what you did (ie jeans, heels and sassy top). Do your face as you would to perform too (men have no imagination ). Good luck!
