maybe i'm just too fussy, i have looked loads online today and found nothing i like, so far i've looked at miss selfridge, top shop, joe browns, uttam, house of fraser! debenhams, ebay, white stuff etc etc :-(

You could try Zara. I bought a pencil-type one there the other day and they also had other styles. Not sure about the length but might be worth a try?

ooh like the skirt..i bought the last style of denim skirt from fatface last year and have worn it and worn it..i treated myself after having baby no 3 !!!worth every penny though..love it!!!

I like the Boden one. The m and s one is similar but I agree about the back although I'm not sure why, it just sort of spoils it imo. Can you just tell me what you are planning on wearing it with? For my own benefit I mean, I really want to wear one with tights and boots this year but don't know what to wear on my top half? It would need to be loose ish wouldn't it?

i want to wear it with my new emu boots :-) and thick tights but am too struggling with top half but hoping summer top with cardigan over?? or semi fitted v neck jumper??

i think i have just fallen in love with the fat face one and no other i find can match up, i tried a short one on in dorothy perkins today which was nice but waaay to short for me, just felt uncomfortable.

(i should point out that due to horrible legs i have not worn a skirt for about 6 years, i have never found knee high boots to fit - which would obviously hide them a bit!)

Summer top with cardigan sounds good, so does v neck. Problem is I never seem to find any nice basics. I want the kind of clothes that I can just sling on in the morning and they will look ok, not over dressed but still smart enough. My freind wears a denim skirt a lot in winter also with flat boots and thick tights. She always looks lovely but I can't think what she wears on the top half now! I think she wears cardigans a lot with camisole type tops underneath. The fae=t face one is lovely. And the Boden one. I've got one from before DD that I discovered I can still get into yesterday so am hoping to wear that. Used to wear it with bare legs and flip flops and vests, those were the days

That would look nice. I struggle with getting the proportions right because I am tall. Also have a big tummy but I'm hoping s skirt will be more flattering than jeans. Just remembered, my freind wears hers with a short sleeved chunky cardi thing with a long sleeved cotton top under it sometimes. That looks nice as a casual look. See what you mean about not wanting to spend that much, £45 is a lot for such a small amount of material,considering its much less than would be used to make a whole pair of jeans for example.

i have tried the short sleeved cardi and long top underneath combo and it just looks silly on me, but do like it on others though...

The M&S one is actually really nice in the 'flesh'. I bought it at the weekend. It doesn't look the way she is pushing out her tin petite little arse! My bottom is a fair bit larger, and it looks ok in it. TBH I didn't really look at the back of it, but put it on with some 50denier tights and some pumps, and I really like it. of course, thats the best thing with denim, you can wear anything with it!

Also, the length of it is perfect. It's just a bit above the knee, kind of mid thigh on me. Not too short, not too long. Comfy and just right really. Had a fair bit of stretch in it too. Essential for me, getting down to play with DD.

Try it on and see before you scrap te idea, you might be surprised Plus, for the money, I think it's a good buy.

Oh, I was also wearing a camisole with wrap cardi! of course, i was't just in tigts and a skirt!

I wore it today with a long sleeved stripy t-shirt. Prob tomorrow, I'll wear it again with a couple of vest tops, layered, and a chunky cardi I got from Next.

I have just bought that Fat Face skirt and it is fab! Women in shop said they were selling like hot cakes. Also bought this lovely jumper. Must now lock away credit card!
