I am off to uni in a few weeks and will be commuting by public transport. I have just realised my lovely but tiny handbag will no longer be enough so we are going to have to (reluctantly) part ways.

Can anyone help me find a nice big inexpensive strong handled bag that will fit all my uni stuff in. I don't do rucksacks if I can help it and need a new bag asap.

Thanks!

Don't laugh but I have two of Waitrose's Jute bags for my college stuff.

The handles are padded and v strong.

I like Crumpler stuff It is hard wearing and well designed. I do not work for Crumpler.

Something like this for a proper handbag or something like this?

Notalone · 04/09/2008 17:36

Ooooh - I like some of these. Especially that one from Asos as suggested by Ewe. That is the sort of style I am looking for but ideally a little cheaper if poss. I am an impoverished student now and need money for pints of snake bite and pot noodles
