Have bought some 30's style monk strap shoes and wondering if they would go under a jeans skirt (knee length). DD (3) says nay

Not sure what monk strap shoes are, but I suspect probably nay too. Possibly might get away with it proportion-wise if it was a longer skirt, but even then, I'm not sure. OTOH, if you love the combination - sod everyone else, go for it and enjoy yourself.

I think nay too but just wondering

Cant find a link of the actual shoes (bought them last week in Holland by a shop called Nelson)

Thinks eh??

Monk strap shoes?

Reminds self Style and Beauty is not WildThings territory.

Not with denim skirt, no. any other knee-length skirt then yes probably

Bumperlicious · 30/08/2008 11:58

Nope. Flats or boots only I'm afraid.

pickie · 30/08/2008 11:59

wild thing I googled 30's shoes and monk strap came up.

Agree Moomin any skirt but not denim, am wearing them now with a embroidered skirt and looks good (even DD agrees)

Oh, it's knee length, was thinking long. Hmm, maybe.

Great shoes.. but not with a knee length demin skirt. Think it would look very old ladyish. Pumps or boots would be better.
