Don't know what has happened to my feet. I've been living in Birkenstocks, walking boots and wellies for months. I went to buy some new shoes at the weekend and nothing fits. Everything I tried was too narrow (even ugly trainer type shoes). I tried shoes in Clarks, Jones, M&S, Timberland, and even hiking shops.

Ideally I'm looking for something to wear with jeans. Stylish but comfortable, not too heeled.

They need to be bought online. Local town only has one tiny Clarks shop and I can't get anywhere else for ages.

Ecco has a website, and I've found their shoes more comfortable for my wide feet than anywhere else. I don't know how you feel about Mary Jane style shoes (it's my toes that are wide, heels are narrow so I need straps to keep shoes on).

How about Duo? A bit hit and miss, I agree, but some of the flats may be ok.
do shoes as well as boots

Jbck · 27/08/2008 13:36

M&S do some nice wide fit shoes but I don't think they are very wide fit.

Same thing happened to me after DD1 was born & I lived in trainers & mules, this time round seems to be similar but not as bad, Thank god I'm not having any more I'd need to just buy boxes next time I needed 'proper' grown up shoes.

Evans, M&S and Long Tall Sally all do wider styles and they're not all hideous .

bozza · 27/08/2008 13:40

I have bought flip flops out of Evans wide fit and I am only a size 12. And also Next do have some styles in wide fit, as do New Look.

MrsFluffleHasAWuffle · 27/08/2008 13:41

evans have lovely styles

fluffyanimal · 27/08/2008 13:41

On the high street I can only fit shoes in Evans. There are lots of online places however - thanks to TigerFeet for these links!

Another vote for Evans if high street.

Also I find Hush puppies come up wide enough for me and I have v wide feet - also v comfortable and nice looking. You can get them on the hush puppies website or amazon. Free returns I think on their website so may be worth sending for a few.

Also I think that simplybe.co.uk have wide fitting shoes.

Jbck · 27/08/2008 13:57

Oh I just remembered New Look do some wide fit too, my Mum got some lovely leather ones in there for about £25. Sort of 50's style pointy, lowish stilleto, plain black.

El Naturalista have quite a wide fit (I have wide size 9 feet but their 8's are ok for me). And lovely colours too, lots of semi-flat ones. Amazon sell some, I think, which is a good way to buy them. I have some other links somewhere too if you're interested.

LetThemEatCake · 27/08/2008 14:20

again, this site claims to specialise in larger fits, but I think they are quite ££
