Golddigga clothing - Pre teen wear or not ??

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:36

Dd1 pointed out a Goldidgga top that she likes and asked if she cold have it for her 11th birthday in November.

It is a niceish top but not sure I want her walking round with 'Golddigga' across her chest.

Am I just being daft or what ??

No you're not being daft.

I hate seeing TEENS wearing "golddigga" let alone pre-teens!

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:38

Yeah thats what I think.

Dd has just rolled her eyes at me in a 'god you are so old and out of touch' fashion LOL.

I don't feel that this brand has an image that I'd want anyone in my family to portray whatever their age.

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:39

It's shame because some of the stuff is nice, but then they ruin it by having that logo right across the chest.

golddigga is chav fashion of the highest order

no apologies to anyone who wears it

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:41

Oh dd1 does have the potential to be very chavvy, and so I do have to try and steer her in the opposite direction.

No horrible nasty chavvy, think Jodie Marsh that should put you off enough

morningpaper · 27/08/2008 11:44

agree, golddigga is just AWFUL

I would instruct her in the ways of a true feminist and ban the stuff

Fimbo · 27/08/2008 11:44

I hate stuff like that. Dh bought some very expensive trainers cheaply from that M & M Direct place and we are always getting their sodding catalogue which is full of tripe like Golddigga

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:44

Urgh

I suggested she have a Bench top instead, but that doesn't appear to be the right brand to of suggested LOL.

OP posts:
IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:45

Thats where she has seen it Fimbo.

Fimbo · 27/08/2008 11:47

I don't think Bench is much better tbh - mind you the very worst has to be the Playboy things.

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 11:51

LOL, she has just stomped off saying 'no to golddiga, no to playboy, so what exactly am I supposed to wear then'.

Shall I suggest a nice winnie the pooh top

She reckons her dad will buy it for her. I think she may be a tad dissapointed there.

Fimbo · 27/08/2008 12:08

Zara have a t-shirt with Zara in gold glitter. Their sizes are generally on the small size and they usually do an xs so may just fit.

Or Mango

IllegallyBrunette · 27/08/2008 12:23

That sounds lovely Fimbo.

I don't go into Zara very often tbh as it is always boiling hot in there and I end up coming out again.

MacKenzie?
A trip to Cult Clothing perhaps?

mippy · 08/11/2010 13:34

I didn't know Golddigga still existed - I remember seeing a top with it on in a charity shop ten years ago. Seemed an ironic name to me then, like Fat Face.
