I need wellies that will fit comfortable around my <ahem> less than shapely calves

Look. My calves are by far my worst 'bit'.
I'm struggling to find a pair of wellies generous enough to be able to tuck my trousers in to.

I've even been looking at Crocs wellies .

What should I get?

And, on the subject of wellies, why the smeg do all cheap wellies have high heels?

I bought some crocs wellies this time last year. I got bitten by something on my foot which made it swell up and I couldn't wear normal width anything until Christmas. I got the yellow ones - the only colour they had in my size, I 've used them every single day for dog walking. The good points are: they're really really easy to take off. No tugging off when caked in mud (or worse), you can just ease your foot out. They are warm and cushioned underfoot. You can tuck your trousers into them - even thick trousers though I tend to tuck the ends of the trousers into my socks first. You can also just step into them in a hurry which has been great for taking a puppy out in the middle of the night (they're really comfortable without socks too). The bad points: the grip wasn't astounding through the winter when the heath was icy and/or a mudbath - was ok if careful though. They aren't the highest boots - you do get abit wet if you go through high grass. Finally they do look abit sad (obviously)

.... obviously, when I said half the price of wellies, I meant half the price of Hunters.
