what length should straightish jeans be and what shoes go best?

need to shorten some new jeans and am struggling to pin them right - they're not my usual boot cut and they look a bit odd round the bottom, I can't do the boot-cut flopping around thing but scared of making them too short. and not sure whether to do them for flatties or heels. perhaps some pictures to inspire me kind styish souls?

oh yes - i've spent my lifetime shortening jeans - they're washed and ironed.

Where are they from? Straight leg jeans always look best quite long, usually with high heels or wedges. So, you would have to put the shoes on and then shorten them.

not sure I agree about the long thing - I was suprised at how much shorter than a bootleg they need to be. hence my post. but I've been googling for images too and these look ok (and are in fact the jeans in question)

so straight leg skinny? Yes, not long in that case, and either with boots or heels.
