Would anybody help me find a stylish fleece?

I need one for cold nights when we camp, I've looked at fatface and white stuff, but they only have sweats and I really need a fleece. I'm not sure that there is such a thing as a stylish one tbh - help.

i would get a really thin technical one non sweaty breathable quick drying etc

tight fitting but comfortable

I have a nice bench one, fleecy on the inside, sweats type outside.

I also have a number of climbing ones, but let's face it, even the nicer ones are only stylish up to a point, they are still camping gear after all!

I will see if I can find some like mine...

I have visions of posts on MN about this amazing Mum seen camping who looked so stylish and yet practical. I really thought someone would know the magical stylish fleece shop.

fleece and stylish - a contradication in terms - but can see that they can be useful. Have you tired The North Face? I think most of their stuff is quite stylish for what it is.

they do have some lighter ones tho that is quite compressible i think

the trick is not to buy big shapeless oversized baggy fleeces that places like cotton trader seem to sell.

yes north face are nice i have a north face snow boarding jacket and it is i think quite stylish but very close fitting but with the option to move your arms lol

I've got a swing jacket from here and it looks really nice on.

I find craghoppers stuff a bit shapeless and baggy, north face much better.

i think the key is in the cut

some are poor styling so you need to get a baggy one in order tobe able to move

if they are well cut then you can have a smarter and more effective fit wrt keeping warm and still be able to move your arms in all directions

I invested in some good baselayers which has meant I can wear a jumper or thin fleece over the top and still be toasty warm. No need to be all bulked out like the mitchelin man just because it's cold!

lol at those swing jackets! Stylish maybe, practical and warm, I bet not!

yes very true zippi, some are so badly designed you can't move your arms at all once they are on!

decathlon do some quite good cheasp base layers

their fleeces are not very exciting tho

Thank you for all the ideas, the only problem is they just look like fleeces, which to be fair is obviously because they are. I can't help but think that the ones that are slightly nicer will just look frumpy when worn by a size 16 40 year old.

Mind you, I never thought I'd see a fleece wedding coat!
