i never wear hair tied back looks awful

awkward for climbing...i have to use hairgrips very carefully

i also have problems in the not looking ancient..not looking like im trying to be young,but i think i am not too bad at it

I would say flat shoes are very unforgiving. I've only just started wearing ballet pumps and I feel really unconcious in them.

high necked tops

saw a bad high neck top + horizontal striped cardigan this morning

long skirts that bunch arounf the waist, though long floaty ones more fitted over the hips suprisingly flattering

nothing worse than stripes which "wobble" around your contours as they wend their way down your lumps. Yes that really makes you look thinner .

Nothing makes me look thinner except losing weight. Some things make me look better but thinner would be expecting an optical illusion of science fiction levels.

Oh god - horizontal stripes over ample chest. Mil and sil both do this all the time and it does them no favours. I have tried to drop hints but they will keep doing it.

I find one of the problems with tops for bigger ladies is that often they seem to just take a top designed for slim people and make it wider, without making it any longer so with the combination of the horizontal stretch and a few washes in the machine, they magically transform into crop tops and I think that's why you see women walking round tesco with a roll of jiggle on show.

It's a pet peeve, I must have 20 tops that are relegated to bedwear because of this.

i refer to them as 'big bum' skirts.

doesn't matter how small your bum is. if you are not a size 6 you look like you have a BIG bum.

I don't think ANYTHING can make you look slimmer, but somethings make you look fatter..

I often look at people and think 'just because they make that in you size does not mean you should wear it'

I love loose floaty tops but realised years ago that fitted ones (even floaty ones with a fitted waist) look so much better than completely loose sack like tops).

I went through a phase of wearing all dark brown thinking it was flattering..my DH cured me when he told me I looked like a "walking poo"

3/4 lentgh trousers/leggings, especially if too tight. Makes people look too short and gives them cankles.
