Are cropped trousers for short people really a no no

Yes I have watched Trinny and Susanna and Gok and I know the rules. However I still have cropped trousers as part of my wardrobe and do wear them with heels and also with flat sandals.

However my new gay friend who is a lovely guy said to me this week when I was wearing ankle length trousers (which I actually don't like tbh) I do like bootflares though
ooh citylover those trousers are so much better for you than crops.

I appreciated his honesty but since then keep wondering whether I look truly terrible in crops. I don't really care when I am out and about around this area but I wore them for work during the week (grey monsoon slub mterial type crops) with a red shirt and sandals with about 2.5 in heels and thought i look OK. Have got quite big but shapely calves (no cankles here girls). LOL

Views appreciated esp from similar vertically challenged crop wearers.

Cropped trousers do look really terrible on shorter people IMHO. A big no-no as those witches susannah and trinny would soon tell you. Also look terrible on the larger bottomed laydee ie the pear like myself.

In fact the sort of pedal pushers ie tight cropped trousers only look good on tall, thin, young women (hiss) and baggy cropped look awful on everyone.

Full length linen trousers much better and what difference is an extra 3 inches of material around the ankle going to make to how hot you feel?

only indoors, sometimes wear them out. I know they are contentious

however have seen alot of people wearing leggings out on the street and watching gok just now alot are wearing leggings including a big girl who looks fab wearing red dress black vest and leggings
