I know, I know I hate them as well but I've dislocated my toe and I'm going camping next week so i need something comfortable thats going to potect my toe and fairly all weather - I promise not to wear them in 'public' .
So where can I buy them and are any of the cheapy versions as good bearing in mind I can only limp around pathetically at the moment

Amazon?

WinkyWinkola · 29/07/2008 10:25

Though I think any q's about crocs shouldn't be allowed in the Style and Beauty section.

WinkyWinkola · 29/07/2008 10:25

Grin Wink

maidamess · 29/07/2008 10:25

You can get Proper crocs cheap from Ideal world shopping channel! (Online) I have some Primark specials. they are the same, IMO.

maidamess · 29/07/2008 10:26

And don't listen to what anyone says about them . You go girlfriend!

scrappydappydoo · 29/07/2008 10:28

I know ww - but I thought I would get slammed in chat and well I AM being unreasonable in wanting to buy them - i suppose there's netmums....
I need to be able to try them on as I my shoe size seems to depend on the shop/brand and I promise you I NEVER tried crocs on before...

sweetfeet have a huge range or styles and colours. Thats where I had mine from.

And dont listen to anyone theyre lovely, and comfy

Flier · 29/07/2008 10:28

Next sell them, or www.sweetfeetshoes.co.uk

WinkyWinkola · 29/07/2008 10:29

I'm only joking, scrappy! You wear what you want. And your poor old toe. Hope it gets better soon. Perhaps crocs are just the thing for a dislocated toe.

maidamess · 29/07/2008 10:31

I still can't understand the anti croc feling in MN.

Yes they are ugly. And no, I wouldn't wear them to a wedding.

But they are sooo good for pootling around in the garden.

Whats so wrong with that? Eh? Eh?

seeker · 29/07/2008 10:31

Don't buy real ones - the cheap versions are exactly the same and cost a fraction of the price. Ours (we are a Croc family) come from Stead and Simpson and were about a fiver.

seeker · 29/07/2008 10:32

And my tanned blonde 'surfer dude" ds who's 7 looks absolutely amazing in his red crocs!

mosschops30 · 29/07/2008 10:32

I think the cheap ones look cheap and chavvy! Fine for kids who grow quick but for adults its worth buying the proper thing

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/07/2008 10:34

Rubbersole online.

Order them now and they will come tomorrow (honest).

MmeLindt · 29/07/2008 10:34

I buy mine here

They are really good and no problem sending things back if they don't fit.

I have several pairs of Crocs including these, which don't actually look like Crocs

Flier · 29/07/2008 10:34

25% off just now at sweetfeetshoes

scrappydappydoo · 29/07/2008 10:35

Thanks flier - I'll limp over there today I have heard they are extremely comfy perhaps I will be a convert after all

OP posts:
Flier · 29/07/2008 10:37

when trying them on, remember they don't fit like normal shoes, they should be a size bigger than your normal shoes and they will feel loose all around.

seeker · 29/07/2008 11:09

Mosschops obviously works for the company that makes Crocs. You really can't tell the difference between real and fake unless you bend right down and look at the logo!

MmeLindt · 29/07/2008 20:24

Seeker
I think there are good copies and bad copies, tbh. Some of the ones that I have seen look really cheap and nasty. I have gone for the real thing because I wear them a lot so it is worth it. If you were just wanting them for camping or for the garden then the cheapie ones are probably just as good.

LynetteScavo · 29/07/2008 20:26

Oh seeker yes you can tell the difference. Even I can tell a fake pair of Crocs at 20 paces.

scrappydappydoo · 29/07/2008 21:15

Well I ended up buying some cheapie ones cos next didn't have any in my size and according to the website nowhere else near me sells them. They're quite comfy and will do but can't see me wearing them all time!
