Going to BIL's wedding on Saturday, have got an outfit - black and cream dress, black shrug, black courts. V.nice.

Am umming about a fascinator, I have long dark brown straight hair I will be wearing down. Will I look like a knob, DP is best man so I figure I can go v.dressy.

What do I do with it during the day, does it stay in in the church/during meal or is it like a hat that I take off as and when. Should I do cream or black?

Are they like a pretend hat, a band with feathers stuck in type of thing?

notasheep · 28/07/2008 20:15

I would wear a HUGE hat

Am thinking headband more practical than comb?

I think comb is better. Things with a headband make my head ache after a bit. The combs stay in surprisingly well and make it loook less like a hairband.

Oh I think a cream one would be lovely.

LaDiDaDi · 28/07/2008 20:20

My hair is fine and I need one on a headband rather than a comb unless I'm having my hair put up and a hairdresser can secure a comb one.

smurfgirl · 28/07/2008 20:25

Yes my hair is quite fine really and very sort of slippy (iykwim!!), i do wear headbands a lot.
I have looked in acessorise and debenhams and no joy - all too big for me.

Am worried i will look overdressed but I know logically that next to my sweaty lovely DP in tails I won't at all.
