hopefull i havent cursed my interview chances by posting on mn...but what should i wear

....i have an interview

what sort of firm/ what sort of position

its to be manager of the mail order catalogue and online enterprise for a charity

do youy have a suit?

suit
plain top
slightly quirky jewellery/scarf

i dont have a suit

i dont really have any office clothes at all

i have got a simple pencil shaped balck skirt knee length that i have never worn

i think it is going to have to be something quite conservative tbh to be safe

For a charity it is unlikely that they will be super formal, but you do need to be smart for an interview, otherwise they may feel you aren't taking them seriously. You should also be comfortable in what you wear - I always think of interviews as playing a role, so getting into costume is important for me. Do you like the way you look in the skirt (why haven't you worn it?) and do you have a nice top to go with it?

i havent worn it because it is quite tailored and just not had the occasion

i have tried it on it looks fine

i also tried a buttoned top which iswhite with a sort of black flower pattern on which i like quite a lot...it looks slightly but not really japanese to me

and makes the skirt look slightly less sexy

i only have strappy high heels tho so i think maybe i have to find some shoes too

i could get a white shirt to go with the skirt but would i look like a waitress

both the skirt and the top are from new look

there might be a different top there

they also want someone with an eye for design

(not fashion lol)

just a mid-high heel pump, nothing strappy.

i have tried tucking the top in which actually looks much better the skirt is quite bum hugging

it actually looks quite nice

but then i do like the top

i have goit a houndstooth check black and white open necked shirt too but its in that sort of stretchy silky man made material it has three quarter sleeves the flowery top has quite short ones

shoes are too sexy tho

and the only others i have are ankle boots or some rather yukky pointed but square ones

the top and skirt combo sounds nice (and good for a hot day)
