Does anyone else NOT get "touche Eclat" by YSL???

Here's the rub.....I have always had one of these in my make up bag (at least for the past 10 years) but the other day whilst putting it on I thought to myself "why am I bothering" it really makesa blind bit of difference to my shadows under my eyes.....I don't think I have ever thought "wow" when putting this on, and have obviously been sucked in, duped, conned, stupid when reading about how this is a "must have product" "Iconic beauty product" blah blah....

Therfore, can anyone recommend a great under eye concealer that actually works? Or is it just me??!!

TIA

Oh yes, whilst we are verging off topic from YSL touche Eclat - 8 hour cream is CRAPOLA as well...I couldn't agree more......it stinks, it makes you look as if you have dunked your face/hands/lips in chip fat and it doesn't work!!

Oh what else is "iconic" "must have" "can't live without" that is also CRAP...I am sure I have probably bought most of them but can't think due to being pregnant and hot...

Clinique face powder- no better than any supermarket cheapo powder IMO.

8 hour cream is fab - you're not supposed to cover your face with it - it's not a moisturiser.

actually I was being silly saying that - have used it for cuticles and lips but didn't work!!!!!!! Also the smell.....how do you stand it?!!

I like it-but I don't have dark bags it just lightens my face up a bit. Some people over do it and end up looking like they have a torch under their chin

TE made the skin round my eyes dry and raw. I now use Lancome.

I bought it about 3 times, then thought it was much too pale and seemed to draw attention to eye bags. also, the brush seemed to develop a funny smell in time.

I then tried Clinique ( in a tube not the air brush) and prescriptives, but my face at the mo is Bobbi Brown concealer- you can get it with powder- no good for under eyes as it cakes into lines- but the concealer on its own is great, and there are loads of colours.

Never buy BFB any more as I've not noticed any difference in my skin at all and have never had one complement when wearing it. If something does work well and you look better than usual somebody will say so.

Touche Eclat may not be ideal for everyone or every purpose, but it is the most successful cosmetic product of all times. It can't be THAT bad!

i tried touche eclat with a friend , neither of us could see the difference but she bought it saying we "obviously weren't looking at ourselves properly as it was one of the most successful products of all time!"

Have heard lots of positive comments about the No 7 one, Sally. Think I'll give it a try next time I treat myself to something nice

beauty scientist but is it the "most successful product of all time" because we have all been duped into believe that it is "iconic" "must have" "best ever" etc etc

You can see fromt his thread alone that a lot of us think it is PANTS! Is this just a brilliant PR/marketing excercise from YSL?

Here is another iconic product - Eve Lom face cleanser - very expensive but after just two uses my face broke out in terrible acne...

I bought some TE on the plane in a frantic last-ditch shopping spree before reaching the shopping desert that is Nigeria. I find it does need careful application (I received a magnifying mirror for Xmas which helps, but seeing your face floodlit and FIVE TIMES LARGER THAN NORMAL is horrifying! ) but it works and is especially good around nose, lips etc.

Now the Eve Lom cleanser I do rate, I must say. Skin has never been clearer or brighter.
