I am not impressed.

Its all hormonal, I'm sure it is. I never had this problem until I had dc2.

So I got some boots expert facial wax strips.
Its done the job, but feck me it hurt like hell!

Next thing is to tackle my sweat problem (eurghhh).
I have bought what I thought was the bees knees in deodorant, Mitchum.
It does not work.
I still smell!
The bloody bottle says it lasts up to 48 hours!!!

So is there another deodorant out there that does actually work?
And does anyone else suffer with this problem and has it started after you've had children?

Have you been to the dr about this?

doggyandteddy · 25/07/2008 16:42

butwhy, you have my sympathies, exact same thing happened to me... still trying to get up courage to see doctor.
Got to do my tache tonight

expatinscotland · 25/07/2008 16:43

get rid of your tasche via waxing, or, if you can afford it, IPL laser.

if you can afford it, Botox your arm pits.

WigWamBam · 25/07/2008 16:43

Mitchum is crap. But the GP can prescribe others which work.

Get your tach waxed at a salon; much quicker so hurts less.

Definitely hormones; I was fine until I had my dd and now I'm hairy and smelly too ... she's 7 now, so I'm assuming it's here to stay!

butwhybutwhy · 25/07/2008 16:47

Bugger at hairy smellyness.

No I havent seen a Dr.
I do suffer with anxiety and panic attacks so I know that will contribute to the sweating.
I have also been on Citalopram but have stopped taking this. I'm wondering if thats kept the hairy tache at bay because it seems to have got worse over the last few weeks.
The sweating has definately been since dc2 though.

What are the products that the gp can prescribe?

This morning did a test on deodrant last week and surprisingly mitchum came low..very low..

I use it but don't have excessive sweat problem so maybe thats why.?!

Now then...what did come out tops was Boots own..
will try and link to it if I can..boots website v slow atm.

iir it was in a white and blue can..

shhhh · 25/07/2008 16:48

btw, I would suggest seeing your gp. Botox is available on the nhs.

EffiePerine · 25/07/2008 16:49

Apparantly Boots own brand deoderant comes up well in tests (according to office gossip, we have such interesting lives).

Ewe · 25/07/2008 16:49

Use a roll on and then seal it with a spray?

x-posts shhh

butwhybutwhy · 25/07/2008 16:50

I'll have a look at Boots.
Thanks for that Sshhh.

But considering my anxiety and panic attacks are to do with a phobia of needles and going into medical places, I think Botox maybe off the cards until I finish my treatment

I use perspirex, you use it every night before bed (wash off in the morning) until it works then you can get away with only using it twice a week depending on the individual. It stops you sweating therefore no smell

saffy202 · 25/07/2008 20:10

I use Triple Dry - the aerosol. It's not cheap; £4.99 but it works for me.
