Help me find plain white yet girly longsleeve popper vests

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 14:10

because all my normal contacts are coming up blank

12-18m and by girly I mean with puff sleeves or a little collar or a bow or something - they're to put under plain denim dungarees, pinafores etc

had some fab 6-9 H&M ones from ebay with picot-trim collars but can't find any more - the La Redoute ones this autumn are vile colours.

Any ideas?

navyeyelasH · 18/07/2008 14:40

Hey Mrs Tutter, do you mean something like this:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/girls-long-sleeve-bodysuit-12-18m_W0QQitemZ180264879610QQihZ008QQcategoryZ14738QQssPa geNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Swedes · 18/07/2008 14:41

jojo maman bebe have some lovely ones (plain white, plain navy and pink). The quality of their stuff is superb too. We buy a lot from there as we have a shop 5 mins walk away.

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 14:49

Good tip on Jojo & BM - haven;t looked at their stuff since dd was born

Navyeyelash more like this - they have to be white so I can bleach the banana out. Actually I'll try Gymboree.

And where is Tutter? [looks round nervously]
is she stalking me again?

Babygap probably have loads too, but they don't have a uk on line store I don't think? Pumpkin patch, mini boden and I would also try the supermarkets, George, Tesco, Sainsbury's TU range. Primark will probably have some too (if you don't mind primark that is!).

navyeyelasH · 18/07/2008 15:23

Woops sorry I meant Badger! Not sure if my links will be any good (I'm more of a pink person) but might be some good to someone else.

Good luck with the search I'm off shopping in the real world and will keep my eyes peeled!

Lola234 · 18/07/2008 15:27

try gap they have a great selection..

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 15:28

thanks Navy, but I think we're on different tracks here - I'm looking for plain white as I said in the title.

like this only with long sleeves

and why did you think I was Tutter?

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 15:29

whoops, crossposted

Gap is a good idea - trouble is it's all still summer stuff atm despite being freezing here

Lili Gaufrette has a standard ribbed cotton long sleeved polo neck top that is great for under dungarees etc - not poppered, but long and stays in place. My DD lived in them when she was tiny.

RubySlippers · 18/07/2008 15:40

little lapin recommended this site to me

i think this may be what you are after

don't know where you are based but they also have stores

RubySlippers · 18/07/2008 15:41

they do this in white

the buttons add a touch of detail

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 15:50

Ruby that first one is ace [plans jaunt to Windsor]

Unfortunately she doesn't suit polonecks very well Anna - like me she is blessed in the chins dept.
Also (although unlike me) she has very little hair so a bit of frilliness with the denim helps her look more like a girl...

Lola234 · 18/07/2008 15:52

if your willing to spend a bit more, i got a great white t from REISS

MrsBadger · 18/07/2008 15:53

Lola, ahve you even read the original post, let alone the thread?

she is eleven months

OP posts:
RubySlippers · 18/07/2008 15:53

have fun ...

the stuff looks great

no amusing slogans on any of it

Anna8888 · 18/07/2008 15:59

I had some tops of the sort you want - little collar, small amounts of embroidery etc - from a shop called Blanc d'Ivoire on rue du Bac... am not in Paris at present though to check out...

JackieNo · 18/07/2008 16:04

Can't find white, but this has an ivory option? (I emailed Lands End a few months ago to ask why they don't do all the kids' stuff in the UK, and they suggested just buying from the US site, especially with the exchange rate so favourable - haven't actually tried it though - wary of tax etc).

vacaloca · 18/07/2008 16:05

I had several like you're describing from baby gap, although that was a while ago now.

JackieNo · 18/07/2008 16:07

Cute but ridiculously £££.
