I buggered up fake tan - first time ever - what do I need from Boots to correct?

there should be a wipe in a little sachet of tan corrector

toothpaste esp whitening If really bad nail varnish remover.The sachet stuff only works if you use it in the first few hours iirc HTH

do u know anyone that works in a gp surgery ot hospital.
I swear by sterets (the alcohol wipes they use for injection sites) get the dodgy spots of great.
But yes you can get corrector but its a rip-off IMHO

It was that St Tropez tan extender- don't normally use that particular product- normally go for StTropez air brush or mousse. I also usually go over heels and feet with a baby wipe post application but DS was complaining about his itchy arm under his plaster cast and I got distracted.

runs on skin are easy to correct, but if your heels are dry it might be easier to try and pumice some of it off.

It's the bit just above the bone - is too dark and restof heel is v.pale. Skin not dry at all.

I think it is just because skin is thin and I didn't tone it down in thatarea so it has become concentrated iyswim.

FFS! I have been self tanning for years! Arse again.

i have just started using the st. tropez everyday gradual tanner and its fab. I find the mousse good for special occaisions but its too much commitment all the time.
Dont even need to exfoliate or wear gloves for the everyday stuff

You need to turn over the skin cells (it's natural process, which you just need to speed along a bit) - it's only the very outer layer of your skin that is affected.

Rubbing with a rough towel should do the trick, or a pumice stone.

Next time, put moisturiser on any wrinkled skin first, so that it does not overly absorb the self-tanner. You can always add another layer to get a natural colour. It is also a good idea to use a product which is fairly low in DHA, so that you can build up the tan gradually.

moss - do you not find that the mousse doesnt go very dark? im very fair but i never seem to go particularly brown with it. i only use 1 squirt per arm though so prehaps i need to pile it on a bit thicker!

i go very brown with the mousse (also very fair skinned), it looks unnatural which is why ive changed to something a bit more natural and lighter looking.

Thanks for the wealth of tips. Imanaged to improve the situation a bit using exfoliation as well as Nail Varnish Remover. Blackhead stuff is interesting, I might trial that just for interest's sake!

I agree the Everyday stuff is fab- can do every couple of days after a shower and stay reasonably tanned all year round with little effort. I'd slacked a little with the routine hence need for 'proper' Fake Tan session.

As it turns out, I wore wellies for my big night out and danced in the rain along with 500 others. Was a fab night despite not wearing my heels!
