I have an interview next week for the position of Nursery Nurse at the local primary school. I have just completed my NVQ3 so am excited to have got as far as interview. However, what should I wear? I need to give the impression of professional and approachable and not afraid of getting mucky. Would heels be wrong? I'm a size 12, 5'5", shoulder length hair and a young looking 42 yo (if you ignore the smile lines ). I have children at this school so have been "seen". Anyone in the school interview know able to advise. TIA.

I don't think you should wear anything different from a normal interview, be as smart as possible, ie a skirt suit and maybe "sensible" but nice shoes rather than 6" stilettoes

Congrats and good luck

Thank you Flier. Do any of the evening crowd have any ideas. I daren't ask Dh. He'll have me going as a sexy secretary or summit [rolling eyes].

well done in getting your nvq3 i just got mine too (though in a diffent subject).

wear something comfortable but professional for the interview, heels are fine but wear smart trousers and a boring plain top.
