Please help me decide - I've left it all too late

I'm travelling to a wedding on Friday. I've been hiding my head in the sand about it for various reasons and had decided to wear something I wore to a wedding last year. However, DH thinks the jacket looks cheap and I think I agree with him. Also the shoes are suede and it's likely to rain on the day of the wedding.

So I decided to wear a dark blue dress and boots I have already and buy a coat to go over.

I ordered 3 and the only one I like is too short. DH likes all three.

Shoes are really difficult for me as I'm awaiting foot surgery so I'm stuck with what I have.

I'm attaching pictures of the teal maxi dress and jacket I wore last year and the new coat with the hem of the blue dress showing.

The links are to the other two new coats. I also have a maxi black Superdry puffer like the one in the screenshot but with a detachable fir collar. This is longer than the blue dress but DH says it's not weddingy.

Wedding is in a London town hall in the morning. Bride is fine with me wearing black.

Please be gentle with me. I don't feel good about any of it.

Superdry coat is not for a wedding.

But how much would you actually be wearing a coat at this wedding? Is it literally just to go in and out?

The burgundy one is DHs favourite.

The angst is because I've left it last minute and nothing looks quite right. I live rurally so there's no nice shops to go to try things.

The burgundy one looks like a nice coat. I also really quite like the statement of the JB one. I think either would be fine, so just go for the one you'll get most wear out of.

Would you be open to trying some sheer black tights? I think they'd make the dress and boots look a bit more cohesive together. Or have you got any other shoes?

Do you really need to buy a new coat though, you don’t have anything there than a puffa jacket?

I like the jacket, but there's no reason you can't wear either of those coats, just not the puffer jacket. Could you wear the jacket and take a big umbrella if rain is due?

Is the dress from pretty kitty? If so I have the same fabric in a different colour and love it.

Do you think the fur jacket with the teal dress looks cheap?

I don't have any dressy coats. I've got things like car coats but they're very worky.

The only shoe options are the black boots, tan suede pointed flats and taupe suede ankle boots. I've got really bad foot problems ( nerve damage) and usually only wear orthopedic trainers.

There's no love for the black fur coat either....

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I have been umming and aching about tights. The dress is a bit of a strange length and I think you are right about sheer black.

The teal dress looks great on you, but I'm not loving the bolero shape of the jacket. And I don't think the long coats would work with it.

You look gorgeous in the dress from last year! It’s a lovely dress that looks great on you. Personally I don’t mind the jacket with it at all. But can understand it might not feel right. In any case, you have absolutely nothing to worry about with that outfit, on the contrary you should feel very good about yourself.

I recommended this on another thread, although I haven't seen it in person. The OP ordered it and it looks nice, but she says it's very lightweight, so it may not be warm enough for you.

The teal dress looks lovely, wear that, get a suede protector spray for your shoes from the supermarket when you go to pick up your fur jacket.

I love the burgundy coat and the navy blue outfit is nice.

I also love the floral dress I think with a black fur bolero it would look good. I hate shopping for clothes especially for a specific event OP. Don’t stress you will look lovely

I really like the faux fur jacket with the dress as a look but obvs it’s difficult to tell the quality from the photo.
