Can I reduce my wrinkles at 56? No idea where to start!

I’m 56 and have always liked my body - but not my face. I had bad acne in my teens and twenties and was self conscious about recessed chin, thin hair (helped by pregnancy and hrt)and sticky our ears (now fixed).

now in middle age the pressure is a bit less as the pressures of being young are over and I feel a bit more able to embrace my face.

but I have wrinkles and I don’t use anything except the Boots protect+perfect range.

i work, so I’d be glad even of a temporary boost for meetings.

what I’d like most is for my eyes to look more youthful but I’ll take all and any advice.

where do you get the tret from? A link would be even better, I never know where to buy it!

I get it in Mexico via my SIL, it’s available over the counter and costs a fiver a tube.
I believe you can get it online though

I’m in my 50s OP, my must haves are VitC cream or serum in the morning, tret/retinol at night. I flip between products and brands, but I’d second a previous recommendation for Medik8. I like their VitC and evening moisturiser products, and they have retinol in different strengths to build up tolerance. A face SPF year round is a must. Caroline Hiron isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but her books are a good introduction to skincare solutions. A friend got me on to one of her books a few years ago, and by experimenting with different products I transformed my skin which was just looking a bit dull and lifeless.

The Laneige sleep lip mask is good.

in terms of a tinted moisturiser, if you’ve found make up tricky, then erborian cc or bb creams are a good lightweight base. But if you have a space nk, it’s worth popping in midweek - see if there are any more mature staff. My local one has a couple, they’re both brilliant at advising on products and understanding what works with mature skin. They recently steered me away from a more expensive concealer to a cheaper one that they thought would suit my skin better.

i think I always look better when my eyebrows are done, I get mine threaded every three weeks or so and tinted every two or three times.

Hi,
my skin has always looked dull even when I was very slim. I’m not overweight - certainly not obese.
ive always had dark circles - I think it’s my allergies (inside of nose chronically inflamed)

I’m the same age and needed to up my game this year. I bought this eye product because of dark circles and a month in it’s made a big difference. Apparently it takes 3 months to see the full effect, so far so good.
