Travel wrap?

I’ve often read that a lightweight eg light cashmere wrap is a holiday travel essential. I am contemplating buying one but they are quite pricey - those of you who use them, are they worth it?

And if so - all recommendations welcome (I will likely have a search on eBay or Vinted first).

I tend to go on holiday to Europe including Canaries so not long haul.

I bought one from a market in Italy, so can't recommend the brand I'm afraid. It's just a large, wide scarf but in a soft material and can roll up and fit in a back pack pocket. I use it over my shoulders in the plane or as a pillow. I used it as a sarong to cover shorts in a temple in Thailand and to cover my shoulders in churches. In winter, I just use it as a regular scarf in the UK. Mine is getting faded and worn so I'm on the hunt for a new one.
