Where do you buy clothes for very slim children?
My dd is 40th centile for height and 2nd for weight so very slight framed. We always used to buy leggings in Next in slim fit but these are so baggy on her now it doesn’t look good. She has been wearing dresses all summer which are admittedly baggy but it’s been okay.
She is 5 and 108cm but can fit in her sisters age 1.5-2 shorts in the waist.

There’s a brand called Du Pareil Au Meme. Is it in the UK? Their kids trousers are slim-legged & snug-waisted. Great on my skinny DS!

John Lewis, Boden, Zara, Mayoral, Jacqui and H&M were my go to brands for tall slim DD. If anything it’s harder now as a teen who needs a regular leg size 2 jean etc 🙄🫣

My super slim daughter is now in her 20s and size 4. There are barely any clothes that she can wear :(

Stradivarius has been great for Jeans.

Next because they have lots of elastic waists or the hidden elastic with the button. It’s getting harder now they are tweens and still skinny.

I always found mini Boden and jules good for my skinny kids

French brands, eg Petit Bateau or La Redoute etc. I have two v slender dds, young adults now, but getting trousers in particular to fit was tricky when they were little. The odd thing I had altered, but I bought all their underwear from Petit Bateau, expensive but excellent quality so all got passed down, and trousers from various French brands. They usually have adjustable waists as well which helps.
La Redoute did different fittings in some of their trousers, eg a slim, regular and curvier fit, which makes sense.

Same here, dd is 21 now and has a 31” bust 22” waist. Some Nobody’s Child dresses and trousers in a size 4 have been ok, but mostly she needs things to be taken in.

Thanks all, I will revisit Zara I remember we used to buy from there when she was younger and it was a good fit. H&M is quite baggy still especially on the legs.
I will get some petit bateau from Vinted to try- good tip on the underwear too I usually buy Uniqlo for the quality but she has been wearing age 3 for the past 2 and a half years.
I love the styles of vertbaudet and Sargent Major but a lot of it is too pretty for our very outdoorsy lifestyle- we do lots of hiking and bike riding.
To those with very slim young adult daughters I’m sorry Topshop no longer exists, they had a great selection in size 4 when I was in my teens and twenties- I still have a few pieces that I wear now. Uniqlo is quite good for the basics in a XXS, I am in my 30’s and still only been over 7 stone when pregnant.

Following with interest.

I really struggle to get trousers for DS10. It's not just the waist that's too big, it's the hips and bum that are always so wide. Even with a drawstring they slide down because he can't tie them tight enough. I find the skinny fit often just means tighter legs rather than a smaller waist.

I've got a few pairs from Next and Boden. I like them because they offer a proper functional drawstring where many other brands just have tie at the front but its difficult to tell the difference when buying online.

Topshop exists! It was bought by Boohoo and is online only but it is still great and still goes down to a size 4. I bought a huge haul from Topshop at the start of the summer and it’s really great quality and design.

H&M, Zara, and Uniqlo. My DS is very slim and loves the ‘neatness’ of the fit of Uniqlo.
