I'm looking for some shoes that I can wear for a wedding abroad, and have absolutely fallen in love with these

I don't mind spending up to £250 for something truly fabulous but these are just way out of my budget. (Unless I get multiple replies telling me they are the most comfortable shoes in the world!!).

ChatGPT hasn't been able to find me any dupes yet. I especially like the thick/soft looking straps. I find narrow straps cut across/into my toes/feet too much and are so uncomfortable generally.

Open to all suggestions and ideas please! Thank you!

I must admit, I thought the 'no soles!' poster had somehow mixed the thread up with something about Chanel's 'barefoot' shoe, shown as part of the Cruise 26/27 collection. They'll be available from this winter at only £3,000 for the fancy metallic ones 🤣

Omg these are gorgeous! I think expensive heels are better made, and with better proportions so it is likely they will be more comfortable!
I’m off to trawl vinted for similar!
keep us posted on what you get

Thank you all - I love all your comments, even the ones who think I can't manage in them. I probably can't! But tbh I have never found a pair of comfortable evening shoes/occasion shoes so I have sort of given up on the comfort and I just manage the pain. I'm now remembering a TikTok I saw recently and hope I saved, with someone giving tips and it was something like that she sprayed her foot with some sort of numbing spray first?!

Anyhow, I've ordered some of the Dune dupes from Vinted and will see how they are. If they won't work for dancing, I'll probably keep them for eves on holidays.

I do wonder if the more expensive shoes would be more comfortable. I have some fabulous high heeled sandals from DVF a couple of years ago and they were my most comfortable shoes ever. (But a friend had Louboutins and swore they crippled her).

They remind me of shoes I used to wear 20 years ago that made my feet bleed

I had a pair from Karen Millen very similar. I used to buy a lot of shoes in there. God knows how I walked anywhere in them!

Expensive doesn't always equal comfort! Sometimes the soles are so thin and there's no inside cushioning that even low heeled shoes are agony. I have some Jimmy Choo loafers and a pair of JC ankle boots. The boots are great, loads of underfoot padding and arch support, can walk for miles in them. The loafers are flat as a pancake inside with no support and a very stiff sole. I use insoles in the shoes otherwise they'd be what Cilla Black described her very high heels as: 'sitting down shoes'. 😂

I'm now at the age where comfort is the priority, especially as I have a knee which needs replacing, so if I like a shoe that has no support I'll stick a shaped insole in - if that doesn't work then the shoe is a no!

I thought these were a brilliant find - then noticed Jo Mercer has 87% one-star reviews in the UK.

Oh that's a shame. I haven't ordered from them before so didn't realise but best avoided if that's the case.
