Other than an umbrella!! I’ve done a big autumn stock up today because I had nothing!!

I’ve got:

3 pairs of trousers

3 jeans

5 wool jumpers

lots of tops, some long sleeve some short sleeve

2 coats - a trench coat and a long wool coat

a raincoat

2 pairs of ankle boots

1 skirt

what am I missing?!

Ah I found this . I get it now. Tbh I've never seen anyone wear one or even seen them on sale - the hoods yes but not these.

All of those look absolutely awful, I can't imagine why they would be considered stylish in any way.

I like hats and they can look great, but this trend is dreadful. I'm in my sixties, and all for people of any age wearing fashion if it suits them, but I can't imagine anyone over 20 wearing a knitted bonnet, and even then they'd look as ridiculous as the models in that article.

Well what’s “ stylish “ to you would probably bore a lot of people to death.

Sorry, @ExOptimist, if you pass me in the street, or at the bar pre-show I hope you’ll resist the temptation to bop me over the head with your umbrella!

(Also in my sixties, btw.)

Well each to their own eh?

No one's ever going to convince me those bonnets look good on anyone at all. If people want to look foolish then of course that's up to them.

I think many of us recall growing up with those as children.

I wore them as small child under 5 knitted by various relatives, never ever again since and wouldn't start now. They look terrible.

You mentioned lots of tops OP, do you have enough variety in these? Casual, work appropriate and going out etc? A mixture of tops, shirts and blouses?

Boots - do you have different colours? I'd second the earlier recommendation for knee length boots to wear with skirts and dresses.

I think a few cardigans would make your wardrobe more flexible and allow for easy layering when it's cooler in the mornings/evenings but gets warmer during the day.

I'd buy another skirt or two and a few dresses, these can all be dressed up or down.

Your coat selection is very limited. A trench is fine in milder weather and a wool coat in cooler weather, but a jacket or two would add variety, especially with jeans when you need something more casual.

Do you have belts that still fit?

Check your socks, tights, scarves, hats, gloves etc.
