Mini facelift at 47 or are there worthwhile non-surgical alternatives

I'm hugely unhappy with the loose skin and jowls on my neck and lower face and I'm thinking about having a mini facelift. But if there are any non-surgical options that would be cheaper and have shorter recovery times, I'm open to suggestions. Honest opinions, am I a good facelift candidate? I'm 47 and I can't imagine the situation improving by itself.

Of course she doesn't need it. But she wants it, and that's OK.

Just paying OP a compliment. I said I wasn't anti facelifts.

I can totally see what you mean OP, my face is the same. I imagine if you lift the sides of your face the sagging in mid and lower face is completely improved?

it is when I do mine and I would 100% have one if I could afford it

Cheek fillers can only do so much. I'd start with botox on the neck bands as that should give a nearly instant lift to jowls, but it also gets pricey, so at a certain point it may be more cost effective to just do the mini lift. Some people who have a weaker jaw line (can't tell from this photo) just can't hide the jowls as well someone with a stronger jaw, and that plays into it as well.

It might not end up being a facelift if the surgeon recommends something else, but the jowls and marionette lines are all I can see when I look in the mirror now, and it's causing me considerable distress. I feel ugly and like the face that everyone can see on the outside doesn't match the real me on the inside. It probably doesn't make sense but that's how I feel.

In the meantime try RBF Botox and marionette filler

I'm not saying whether or not you should have a facelift - looking at your photo with a critical eye, I don't think you look like you need one, but you obviously feel differently. But if you think you really do want one, don't do anything to your face until you've had a consult with a surgeon. Filler can make a lift much more complicated.
