No it's not! Love working from home for that. I don't go out on the evening that often to make use of perfumes like that but I can enjoy them at home.

I feel in my current I can only do clean & light perfumes even more then previous due to spending long in meeting rooms.

I went for Mojave Ghost today. So very ghostly!

It really does not last at all. I don’t think I have had a chance to decide if I actually like it because it’s so ephemeral that I can’t get a good enough run at it. Today I tipped it onto my hand and made sure I put it on my wrists and upper chest, after-shave ‘splash it all over’ style. But it’s gone.

I’m glad I only have a small sample and haven’t spanked serious money!

I like Eau Capitale from diptyque, and another vote for tam dao. I might go have a John Lewis perfume spray tomorrow!

sotd Is the Tana meadows liberty- last of samples gone. Probably too sweet for me.

It is a bit like a ghost - I have the absolu which is slightly longer lasting but you'd expect it to last it all day. Unfortunately I love the scent so much I still bought a fb.

I have a little desk tidy with 5 dabbers in the compartmnets where the things are supposed to go. This is in the smaller, perfume friendly office. I prefer dabbers in the office as sprays seem more intrusive somehow. My fellow colleagues don't mind and often have a dab themselves, I find the best way to get away with wearing perfume at work is to get collegaues into it! (disclaimer - if anyone was particularly perfume sensitive or allergic I would of course respect that)

SOTD was the new Vyrao Ever 11. Good autumn scent. Still debating whether I'd like a travel size of it. I suspect I may already have stuff that smells similar.

Tom ford fig erotique. Lovely sweet rich deep fig. Sadly the 30ml is nearly over 😔

Memo Madurai for me today. I like it but somehow it doesn't feel quite "me". I'll probably try it again to see if that changes.

Testing Diptyque lilyphéa again today. It’s a tiny sample so won’t last long. I do really like it but it wont be a purchase (thankfully for my wallet) as I would need to really love it. It reminds me a bit of Hermes un jardin sur de Nile, they aren’t the same but similar in vibe.

I think I am going to go with Atalia PDM AM and Xerjoff Starlight pm.

People call Athalia grandma perfume but that's the vibe I am getting. Beautiful temple in the mountain, incense and blossom, definitely not young or modern but peaceful

but you know what, I am not vibing with that mood today. It is going to be lost cherry!

WFH day = spritzing/testing day so there may be a few updates. Started with Lannosea which is a warm sweet citrus. Got this in the perfume society box earlier in the year and it's nice but not one I reach for all the time. Pairs well with vanilla powder.

My harrods FAC which I had to get off ebay as missed the launch has been posted. Annoyingly I won't be in tomorrow to get it but Mr Rainbows has been given strict instruction to be in on Monday to sign for it.

I’ve gone for YSL Rive Gauche today. An old old favourite. It reminds me of being 17!

Powdery, classic, I still love it!

Second up is Chloe Nomad Nuit D'egypte which is a warm, slightly fruity vanillary one. It's nice but very generic. I hanker after more unusual scents today I think possibly because I'm at home so let's get the wildcard ones out.

My diptyque eau duelle travel sizd just came too but I haven't opened it yet - very grateful to a PP (may have been on another thread) who alerted me that these are appearing on vinted now due to Qatar airways goody bags, I like eau duelle but it never before was in a travel size.

Ladies, I am thinking I need LV Symphony. I have some vouchers I can use. I have birthday. And no advent this year. It is the most beautiful scent there is

Now mango skin - lovely but I like to be seasonal with my scents and this to me is summer... I'm ready for autumn.

@MiaNI went immediately to fragrantica to check the notes and reviews. I was surprised to see only 3 notes listed! What do you love about it?

WFH day, and feeling more in the mood for cosy scents as the weather turns. SOTD is Abel Double Scoop, which they released as a summer fragrance but vanilla is more of an autumn/winter choice for me. Warm, butterscotch vanilla with a green note from the rosemary, very nice but maybe a bit redundant among the vanillas I already have.

Did a quick headcount of my collection, and it currently stands at

• 7 full bottles
• 4 travel sizes
• 21 samples/testers

@MotherWol I sold double scoop but interesting. I’m not mega on vanilla scent ( love the ice cream) but have a few others (bibbi floral street).

I regularly count stock take to work out if adding more off the wish list is justified… I think I’m currently on 8 / 35/ 12. Some are back ups which I will stop.

SOTD is orpheon from JL perfume counter. Nice but not for me- possibly patchouli note?

@MiaN haha poetic! Although I do love the reviews on fragrantica sometimes. I’m especially fond of fragrances described with the word ethereal! ‘this fragrance smells ethereal, as if an woodland fairy peers out behind a moss covered tree to daintly approach you, whilst perching on a lily pad. There’s a smell of crushed leaves, pond water and something dark that lurks beneath..’ 😂

I obviously find it incredible! Thanks to SpaceNK for underwhelming advent, some vouchers from work and from family and my good self my dream perfume is in the bag. Honestly this is better for me then advent
