What do people really rate ? Mascara wise?

I switched to Sisley rituals hair recently after a thread on here ( total game changer wish I’d found their shampoo years ago ). And I wondered if I’m missing out on a great mascara too ? So I thought I’d ask the great hive mind of Mumsnet.

I always end up with maybelline lash sensational which is…ok. But just that - ok. I really want that holy grail of lengthening and curling and staying power and am prepared to pay for the right one. I’ve tried the tubing mascaras and I don’t get the hype at all - they just didn’t do anything for me. what’s your best one that you return to? Expensive or cheap - I don’t care ad long as it works.

After trying loads of different mascaras, expensive and not, I bought a mascara from Primark a few weeks ago called I ❤️ Extreme and am really liking it 😂. I think it cost £3.

Mile High Club (gold) but Better than Sex is also quite good.

I have tried loooads and the only one I’ve ever repeat bought is Benefit fan something or other. Lengthens, curls, fans my lashes out and doesn’t smudge all day

Personally I can only use L’Oréal Lash Paradise as it’s the only one I’m not allergic to.

My DDs love Benefits. I did buy them some beauty crop ones earlier this year one of my DDs loved hers so much she’s asked for more, unfortunately I hadn’t realise they were being discontinued which is why they were so cheap.

i like an Ozzy influencer who loves her mascara, I find her very genuine, she will let you know what’s she’s paid for herself and what she’s being paid to promote. Her name is AskEllen Beauty, don’t get her confused with the British one.

Another vote for ELF XTNDR! I also used to pay through the nose for a Blinc tubing mascara but it always seemed to smudge and would flake off and irritate my eyes in the summer when I got hayfever. Tried ELF on a whim and it grabs every lash, looks very natural with no smudging and stays absolutely put until you put hot water on it. Marvellous stuff! It’s so good I’ve stopped dyeing my very fair eyelashes and wear the brown mascara every day!

L'Oréal panorama, or Tarte for brown tubing mascara

Victoria Beckham Beauty’s vast lash mascara is my favourite ever. Lasts all day and thickens and lengthens your lashes
