A capybara nightie anyone?!

I’m no fashion expert but even I’m thinking wtf. What is going on with Next and other high street shops? The ‘style’ is comical.
Am I the other one totally fed up and shocked at how rubbish the shops are for clothes?

I imagine that a large proportion of the Capybara nighties will be bought as Christmas presents for young women in their teens or maybe early twenties.

I think that Capybaras may be popular online.

I'd much rather a few capybaras than some slogan about coffee or, for some reason, limoncello.

I agree that the high street is hideous but this seems fairly inoffensive to me. My tall 8 year old prefers a nightie and I often buy her women's xxs/size 6 ones as there's so few available for kids without Disney princesses on. I might get her this!!

Everyone loves a Capybara! And, to be honest, why not let loose on a nightie that won't be seen by many people? It's fun.

I love my feathers McGraw pyjamas. But I draw the line at Disney and winne the Pooh.

I don’t wear nighties but I would def buy pyjamas in that capybara print! I love some of the fun stuff Next does. I got a lovely jumper with foxes all over about 10 years ago and people still ask me where it’s from when I wear it.

I've noticed Capybaras on everyday apparel recently. They must be having a moment.

But they have webbed feet in real life, and those tails that look a bit ratty. And some pale/ white ones have red eyes. The cartoon versions are a bit cuter. Good natured creatures though.

I browsed Tesco’s kids section last night, even the baby clothes have American places on! All the kids clothes say Malibu
or LA or have stupid slogans on. I haven’t never seen such shit in my life, I used to like Tesco for kids, it’s utter crap this season. Or they’re matching waffle T-shirts with collars and shorts à la TOWIE. Hideous.

The nightie doesn't offend me, if you can't wear something a bit fun or silly in bed then where can you wear it?? Capybaras are very "in" at the moment. The rest is pretty hideous though and a quick browse of the shops at weekend suggests I won't be buying many new items this autumn!

Capybaras seem to be the new sloth / llama. Suddenly everyone’s favourite cute, unusual, slightly dopey looking animal. Wonder what the 2028 version will be?

I'm hoping for a rebellion against the cute dopeyness and for the honey badger to have it's moment atop the throne of popular culture

I like capybaras! But I was in Primark recently and surprised by how childish the women's nightwear was. I'm in my 40s - I'm not looking for nighties adorned with sausage dogs, cupcakes, Winnie-the-Pooh or Snoopy.

Or matcha! Can’t move in Sainsbos without encountering a tee shirt about fucking matcha. And it never says ‘matcha tastes like the ground’ which is just facts.

I sometimes like their clothes but Sainsbury's is bloody awful for this. Even in the kids section. Matcha jumper for age 2-3 anyone?!

This is like the christmas tat threads. People incredulous that people buy this stuff but they do! It’s not my style either but with what I know of the majority of people in the UK, they love stuff like this.
