WHY cant I have trousers that don't fall down.

Is this some kind of ridiculous mundane conspiracy for there not to be any trousers at all that will stay up without a belt? everything falls down nd looks embarrassing and saggy with a belt. Make trousers that look Nice FFS!

what shape are you? where are you buying trousers? are you buying them too big? i am having trouble understanding how this is happening...

Psychomum5 · 28/06/2008 01:36

I am the same!!!

tis called......having no hips!!!

((well, in my case it is!))

madamez · 28/06/2008 01:38

i buy trousers in charity shops or get given them - though I did buy a pair in primark last year and those fell down as well.

Bring back leggings I reckon, those used to not fall down.

we need to buy an arse each?

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 01:40

i get ones with heaps of lycra in [esp jeans]
and whilst nice long tops are in i even go for the odd pair of granny-ones with elastic round the middle

Amphibimum · 28/06/2008 01:44

well buy them in the right smeggin size you dope, and you'll be alright.

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 01:45

no no no there is no such ting as RIGHT size. life can not be quite that simple

Amphibimum · 28/06/2008 01:46

no, but trousers can.

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 01:52

pmsl
but trousers don't need to wear trousers that fall down

chipmonkey · 28/06/2008 01:53

This happened to my when I was pregnant. I made holes in the stretchy side-fabric from tugging them up!

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 01:55

let's cross our fingers and hope that braces come into fashion? for us errr not-so-young-and=trendy ones??

madamez · 28/06/2008 02:09

ooooh. very pensioneresque fetching

time for some links i think. liven the place up a bit.
I have to confess to spending much time in some like this

Piffle · 28/06/2008 20:54

some of my best trousers can be pulled down over my hips without undoing a belt!
boy hips indeed

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2008 20:56

mine do this too
I have no waist and no hips and no arse
high waisted trousers dig in to my waist, and hipsters just fall down non stop

I wear a lot of skirts

averyquickex · 28/06/2008 21:00

thank god it's not just me!
dunno why, but they used to stay up ok, but since having ds they constantly fall down
piffle - I can pull mine down without undoing the buttons (belt is tight enough so I can't iyswim).
but a size smaller is too small..
AND I'm petite too. buying trousers is a NIGHTMARE!

BettySpaghetti · 28/06/2008 21:03

I'm glad someone else has this problem. I think I must have changed shape because my trousers have all started doing this.

Its not as simple as buying a smaller size because if I do that they feel too tight and uncomfortable or I suffer the dreaded muffin top.

I think I'm lacking an arse.

I've not quite given in to the land of elasticated waists though...thats for grannies!

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 21:42

we need to design arse-less trousers

good idea eh

hoppybird · 28/06/2008 21:56

I have this problem too, AND I'm petite, to add to my shopping woes. My waist is 27" so I should be a size 10, according to the waist measurement (well, vanity size 10 these days, which is actually size 12 in old money). However, my hips and bottom are quite flat, and are 34", so size 8 This is the problem: the waist of the smaller size is too tight, but if I get the larger size, trousers need to be hoiked up.

Aefondkiss · 28/06/2008 22:41

I have this problem too, I have one pair of jeans that don't do this, that I actually have to unbutton, but I quite like not having to unbutton trousers, because I am very lazy... anyway the jeans are here, they come in 30, 32 and 34 length, being a short arse I bought the 30, but I can only wear them with heels, they are very flattering, they get lots of positive comments, and I got them in a 12 (usually a vanity 10, except in topshop where I get a 12 which also fall down) - I bought them with a discount code, so it might be worth googling for an adili discount code.

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 22:44

love them afk, would defo need the discount code tho >

nappyaddict · 28/06/2008 22:51

AE33 is 10% off.

Aefondkiss · 28/06/2008 22:56

they do a twill (whatever that is pair with the waist cincher (sp) too, I really want them)

glad you like them giggle! I love mine, I would like another pair, but I think they are quite expensive too.

Charlee · 28/06/2008 22:58

I have the same problem, i am famous in the family for having my arse constantly hanging out, ehatever size i buy the bugger slip down my bum! i have ample hips as well but a flat bum! Sadly doesn't extend to the rest of me which more than makes up for my bum flatness, i have resigned myself to waring a belt or just going 'you know what, my arse is out, so what? its not like you aint seen it before!'

gigglewitch · 28/06/2008 22:58

good one nappies! Thank you!
