Is it worth straightening teeth at 50?

Turned 50 this year and wondering about getting my teeth sorted. I have some teeth that have moved since I had my fixed brace as a teenager and no retainer in the old days. I don’t mind Invisalign or fixed braces. I went to a couple of orthodontists a few years ago to ask about it and they only seemed to recommend Invisalign. Is it too late to bother sorting my teeth?

I also have a non symmetrical bite / jaw line so I think this would help improve things. Other issue is some recession.

Do you have a private dentist anyway? Mine does orthodontic work anyway- not all the dentists in the practice but they have a couple who do.
If yours doesn't , they can often recommend dentists in your area.
Otherwise it's google, read the reviews, go for a consultation with at least 2 different ones and see what they suggest.
Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign. I wanted it but was told it was unsuitable and I'd need a fixed brace.

I’m torn between Invisalign and fixed, price diff Invisalign £800 more. Orthodontist said no difference in effectiveness. What do I do?!!
