Sling bag to wear across front

Huckleberries · Yesterday 20:36

i’m looking for a sling bag that I can wear across my front. I think my frontage is average, like a D cup. But a lot of them just don’t sit well.

I don’t want to carry much in it except phone, keys and a bottle of water. The bottle of water can be really small. (Also wondering what the smallest bottle of water is that you can buy to be honest)

does anyone have any recommendations? It’s for a power walk that I do with my friend. We aren’t likely to be out for longer than about an hour and a half, we’ll go to the shops and stuff or go for coffee on the way home. So I’m basically looking for the smallest one possible. I had one that I thought it was quite small. I wear it as a Crossbody and I feel like it’s constantly bumping into my hip or my back when we do the actual power walking bit.

Keys, I can manage in a pocket but the phone is too big for that really.

Any ideas? Basically, I’d like to adjust it to be quite tight. I suppose an alternative would be a bum bag type thing.

The Uniqlo bag?

panomara · Yesterday 21:26

Yep the Uniqlo bag, or maybe a small fold up backpack from Decathlon, that's what I use out walking, and sometimes the Uniqlo. Both are great.

As for a small water bottle, like you I want a few glugs but not half a ton of the stuff when out walking either. So I buy the kids flavoured water like Fruit Shoot and re use the bottles. They are small enough to fit in the Uniqlo, I think they are 200 or 250 mls.

I have a roka one and a small chilly bottle, 250 ml

Definitely the Uniqlo bag, I have them in 2 different colours, I originally bought the first one for a trip to London where I wanted something really lightweight as my usual bag was a heavy leather crossbody and after using it for the weekend I never went back to my old bag. It’s surprising how much you can fit in them too!

Roka London for sure! I use the bumbag style as a crossbody. Can fit a whole wine bottle in it!

I have a bumbag I wear as a cross body most of the time but as a bumbag if actually hiking / power walking. Mine is the same brand as the kanken backpack

Priorities, priorities, while the rest of us (well me) are recycling kids juice bottles in a Uniqlo or Decathlon bag. ha ha.

Thanks
I feel like these bag suggestions are bigger than I need? I think I'm looking for a cross between a runners pouch and a bag.

I also think I found a fold up or roll up 150 mil bottle, which is more what I'm after

I actually don't like hearing the sound of the water bouncing up and down! LOL, this is why I go to a gym. I suppose I'll just get used to it. There's a water fountain where we can stop, but I don't really like going out for exercise without any at all.

I bought one of the pouches and I used it the first time. It's like a magnetic one and I actually didn't feel like My phone was very safe.

Didn't have any pockets that day because it was too hot to wear anything other than shorts and T-shirt

I suppose I could carry on with the pouch and just have a small bottle stuffed into a pocket normally... it's really stupid that I can't manage even a power walk without some water, but I can't! Which is the only reason I need a bag normally.

My favourite is the Baggu medium crescent bag. A bit like the Uniqlo bag, but way better quality, more spacious and has two zipped pockets inside. You can wash them in the machine. Super light. It’s the best bag. There’s a smaller one too, but I love the medium.

I don't have the Uniqlo bag but use something similar. When I first saw that type of bag I thought they were hideous and said I wouldn't be seen dead with one. Now I rarely use my leather bags - and no longer have to put up with shoulder pain.

Uniqlo have a small version

cmonspring · Yesterday 22:12

@Huckleberriestheres a mini version of the Uniqlo bag, my dd and dm both have the mini version as well as the regular sized one.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · Yesterday 22:18

What about the ROKA Paddington Hip bag worn sling?

Huckleberries · Yesterday 22:30

Thanks so much, everyone

I think the Uni mini sling will do it!
Looks Like it would sit quite comfortably

How nice to have another bag to add to the collection of bags to constantly swap out 😂😂 I've heard of that bag but I just normally go for something with structure

But this looks like it will work well for this and obviously I don't want something heavy. that was another problem with the pouch it's got these really heavy magnets on it which I should've realised because otherwise it's not secure.

Thanks, everybody.

I really like the Roka one but the grey strap as opposed to same colour puts me off a bit. Anyone had a Kind one?

AltitudeCheck · Today 13:22

What about a lightweight runners backpack, belt or vest? They have pockets for soft water bottles and a few small zip pockets for phone and keys.

Topologie saccoche
