maxi dress advice

Hi, I have got a hen night coming up and have a maxi dress but thinking I need a cover up as its bloody freezing , what would be best wrap type thing, the colours are brown/gold and dark pink (sounds gross) am red head so no large amount of pinkness!

I got this from Miss Selfridge last week to wear over my maxi dress. It doesn't look so matron like in real life!

I got a scarf-thing, you can either wrap it round your shoulders or sort of throw it round your neck in a stylish way... but i'm not sure if i do it righht
can get them in every colour in the rainbow, this sort of thing in neutral colour!
