I bought the shoes the op linked to, I got them this morning. I have to agree they are indeed FABulous!
They are comfy, not at all old ladyish, and look good. Very well made too!
Thumbs up from me!

TheChicken · 01/07/2008 14:04

Fimbo · 01/07/2008 14:06

I realy like the red fly ones better than the dm, but they are nicer than the hobbs ones, which are not casual, relaxed with jeans type shoes imho

Aefondkiss · 01/07/2008 14:15

are all fly shoes quite small made?

Ladytophamhatt · 01/07/2008 14:26

deeeeja, they are FAB aren't they?

what colour did you get?

I wish I'd found this thread earlier. I escaped for a few hours shopping on saturday and bought these from jones.

They are soooo comfy and I thought I liked them. But have now decided they are frumpy. What do you think?

Ladytophamhatt · 01/07/2008 14:29

Ummmm, honestly?

I think they're horrid.

sorry.

TheChicken · 01/07/2008 14:29

Fimbo · 01/07/2008 14:39

Don't like The Jones ones - sorry.

LTH we really should have a London shoe shopping day!

love2sleep · 01/07/2008 14:42

oh dear.

I am so bad at shopping. Maybe next time I take my laptop with me and get some mn opinions as I go.

Ladytophamhatt · 01/07/2008 14:44

L2S, you have to always get Mn approval on shoes.

its the law.

Ladytophamhatt · 01/07/2008 14:46

Fimbo....can you imagine??

I'm not sure DH/the bank manager would approve

OP posts:
Fimbo · 01/07/2008 14:49

My new fly's were a comfort purchase as dh had to go to London and work on Sunday. He doesn't know I have bought them yet......LOL

I think we should write a book - The Mumsnet Guide To Shoe Buying!

love2sleep · 01/07/2008 14:51

Can I volunteer to try out all your advice?

Will need an official job title and budget of course...

Fimbo · 01/07/2008 14:55

You can be our trainee

Ladytophamhatt · 01/07/2008 17:16

Ladytophamhatt · 02/07/2008 09:46

Woudk you like us to set you your first task as trainee

OP posts:
Fimbo · 02/07/2008 09:49

I tried some Converse on the other day, my ten year old dd said "mum, why are you trying to look like a teenager"

Pah

Fimbo · 02/07/2008 09:50

My dh thinks I have too many shoes and would never buy me a voucher.

at LTH

love2sleep · 02/07/2008 11:14

But can you really buy shoes online?
Maybe I have wonky feet but only about a quarter of the shoes I try on seem to fit. I am a very wide fitting and get horrible blisters if they don't fit properly. I have a pair of (I think) utterly gorgeous shoes in my cupboard that I never wear because I put them on but change me mind by the time I leave the house because they are so uncomfortable.

Would love a task.

Aefondkiss · 02/07/2008 12:13

L2S I have similar problem, I need to try shoes on to see if they fit, are comfortable... I want to buy some Fly shoes but will wait until I get near some shops so I can try them on.
